Introduction

Welcome to Hillcrest and Team 5D!  My name is Mr. Ryan Hornick and I will be teaching Mathematics for the 2023-2024 school year.  I am a graduate of Penn State University and California University of Pennsylvania.  I have 17 years of teaching experience with students in grades 2-6. Recently, I was privileged to participate in a Math Collobaortaive Workshop at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Throughout this workshop, I was able to collaborate with mathematics teachers in grades 3-6 from various school districts in the Pittsburgh area.  We were able to study and implement fantastic "best practices" in mathematics professional development and instruction.
