Meet the Teacher

About Mr. Blankette
 

Philosophy:

Norwin School District's mission is to, “provide a positive, learner-centered environment that supports the growth of all students."  With this in mind, student instruction on our team, will be focused on building 21st century skills. Therefore, students and families can expect a learning environment and curriculum that incorporates a variety of meaningful learning experiences through inquiry-based topics and project-based instruction. Through these measures, our aim will be to help students develop the necessary skills, and develop interests that will aid them in becoming contributing members of an ever-changing global workforce.

Background:
Since 2006, Mr. Blankette has proudly served Norwin School District as an elementary instructor in grades 4-6. Currently, Mr. Blankette serves as a sixth grade Science and Global Studies instructor at Hillcrest Intermediate. 
 
Outside of school, Mr. Blankette enjoys spending his time traveling, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. He is also an avid fan of Penn State football and Pittsburgh Penguin hockey.
