ALL ABOUT MRS. KLIMEK!
Meet the Teacher!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Klimek and I am very excited to be your teacher as you begin your journey into fifth grade, and I am looking forward to a great year of learning and fun! I can't wait to meet everyone and get to know more about each of you, but first let me tell you a little bit about me!
When I graduated from Washington and Jefferson College (oh so many years ago:) with a degree in Psychology, I was hired to work at Westmoreland Girl Scout Council as a Field Supervisor and Adult Development Director. My passion was always to become a teacher, so I returned to California University of PA to get my teaching certification and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Immediately after graduating, I started my career as a student teacher in the district and have been here ever since. This will be my 26th year of teaching, and am so grateful to be a part of the Norwin School District family! I started as a 6th grade ELA/Social Studies teacher, and then moved to 5th grade where I taught math for three years and soon after moved into Science and Social Studies. Fast forward 5 years and here I am back in the math classroom again! I guess you can say I have a lot of experience in each of the different content areas.
When I am not at school, I am at home in Greensburg with my husband, Ed, three children, Hannah(20), Aidan (18), and Madysen (16), and our dog Bindi. Spending time at the beach is my favorite thing to do, but when I can't be there, the next best thing is hanging out by our pool with family and friends.
Back to School is almost here so "Keep Calm" and get ready for a fantastic year with Team 5A!
