Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello and welcome to Fifth Grade Team 5B! Please be advised that our teacher webpages are always changing and being updated.

We hope that you all have had a safe summer!  We are looking forward to meeting your child and helping them with their transition from their elementary school to Hillcrest Intermediate. 

Below is a list of the school supplies that your child will / may need to be prepared for fifth grade and will be able to carry with them in a backpack at all times. If you are unable to purchase these materials, please don't worry because we have many extras. These are materials we have used in the past and will be using at some point throughout the school year.

SUPPLY LIST TEAM 5B 2026-2027

This is what was used in 2025-2026 and can be used to help get a head start if you and your children are interested: (Again, please know if you need something we are happy to assist for we have materials also and you do NOT need to run out and get anything!)

4 one-inch binders (one for ELA, one for Math, one for Science, one for Social Studies) - This is probably the most important!

2 Composition Books (one for Math and one for ELA)
 
Highlighters (ELA)
 
Pencils (preferably NOT mechanical pencils) - THANK YOU!
 
One pack of colored pencils (ELA)
 
2 red pens (ELA)
 
2-4 Dry Erase Markers (any type - preferably black - MATH)
 
Pencil Bag (one to be carried for all classes)

 

VERY MUCH APPRECIATED: Box of Kleenex , Clorox Wipes , Notecards

*Optional - ANY can of Plah-Doh for science class

*Optional- Headphones/Earbuds (to be used with I-Pad) - can be USB-C or Bluetooth capable

*Optional- Stylus for I-Pad (Generation 7) 

FYI - The calculator we use in class is the TI-30X IIS if you wish to purchase one for use at home. This is completely optional and the teachers have many in their homerooms.
