Meet the Teacher

Welcome to Hillcrest!  My name is Mrs.Laura Whalen and I will be your child's Social Studies and Science teacher this year.  I am a graduate of Duquesne University and am beginning my 27th year of teaching.

 

My husband John and I are have been residents of North Huntingdon for the last 25 years. Our older son graduated from Norwin in 2017 and our younger son attends Norwin High School. Both of our boys are avid baseball players, so we spend most of our days, evenings and weekends at the ball park!  We also enjoy attending Pittsburgh sporting events, Sunday dinners with our family, traveling, shopping and time with our family and friends.
